Information Technology Nepal (FIT Nepal) is a non-governmental
organization founded by a group of IT enthusiasts, later partnered with
renowned ICT experts of Nepal with the sole motive of serving the country
with ICTs that contribute to sustainable economic growth and social
well-being toward knowledge-based societies. Facilitating the promotion of
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and using it as the main
developmental tool for a developing country like Nepal is the prime
objective of the organization. Providing practical information for
business, government, and educational leaders, and encouraging
communication by employing technology tools in the most collaborative
sense is another goal of the organization.

Breastfeeding Week (WBW) celebrations in Nepal
To celebrate the World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) successfully in
rural Nepal as well where the knowledge of the importance of
breastfeeding lesser than in the urban educated population. There
are various activities to be done, strategies are to be built, and
work under limited resources, time frame and budget. Our
organization proposes the following strategies to be planned and
implemented so that the objective of celebrating WBW can be met. The
activities are as follows:
Organize, translate and produce WBW materials Distribution to
rural community through telecenters Radio program Narrow Casting Monthly newspaper Reaching Out to the Community thru
the Community Clubs Trainings to the telecenter

The World Alliance for
Breastfeeding Action (WABA) is a global network of individuals
and organisations
concerned with the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding
worldwide. WABA action is based on the
Innocenti Declaration, the
Ten Links for Nurturing the Future and the
Global Strategy for Infant & Young Child Feeding. Its core partners
