"The Gold Medal Winner in My Heart" Article Solicitation

Share Your Touching Stories
Give Them Well-deserved Compliments

Who has given us support on our bumpy journey of breastfeeding?

  • Your weary HUSBAND?

  • Your MOTHER / MOTHER-IN-LAW who always made you refreshing soups which promoted lactation?

  • Unrelated and yet very understanding FRIENDS ON THE NET?

  • OTHER BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS who shared your feelings?

  • YOUR BEST FRIENDS that always stand by you?

  • YOUR EMPLOYER / BOSS which gave you allowance in terms of time and space?

  • MEDICAL STAFF who gave you breastfeeding knowledge?

  • VOLUNTARY WORKERS who gave you encouragement and support in the darkest days?

Thank you!"

The World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated from 1 August to 7 August every year. This year, with the theme "Mother Support: Going for the Gold", we stress that people who have given support to breastfeeding mothers deserve a GOLD medal, just like an Olympic winner does.

In support of this year’s theme, Hong Kong Breastfeeding Mothers’ Association (HKBA) has organized "The Gold Medal Winner in My Heart" Article Solicitation Campaign. Mothers who are now breastfeeding or have breastfeeding experience are invited to write an article to recognize and to compliment individuals or organizations that provided them with greatest support while they breastfed their babies. Let us join hands to express our deepest gratitude for the support and contribution from these parties.

Details of the Article Solicitation Campaign
